Locations & speed

Normally you never pick a location — the app does it itself. It's worth digging only when something is slow or a specific site won't open.

Russian sites bypass the VPN

Banks, government services and marketplaces open directly, from your regular address. Sign-ins don't look suspicious, cards don't get blocked, and local sites aren't slowed by a detour abroad. No need to switch the VPN off for them.

Automatic routing

The app picks the server and the path to it. If the network is weak or one path degrades, it switches without your involvement.

When to pick a location manually

Two cases: a service refuses your current country, or the speed dropped noticeably. Pick another location in the app and reconnect — takes seconds.

Torrents bypass the tunnel

BitTorrent is sent out directly, so the VPN does not bypass torrent throttling by your ISP, and seeding through the regular locations does not work: it is blocked there. Torrents have their own node, «🇳🇱 🧲 Торренты» in the Netherlands. Why it is built that way is explained on Acceptable use.

About speed

VPN speed is capped by the narrowest link on the path — and that's usually your home or mobile internet, not our server. Before blaming the VPN, compare measurements with the tunnel on and off on the same device.
